Top Navigation and Maps Apps in the Middle East: Q2 2025 Performance

In the second quarter of 2025, the top navigation and maps applications on the unified platform in the Middle East displayed varied performance metrics, as captured by Sensor Tower.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic maintained a consistent weekly download pattern, starting at around 55.6K and seeing a dip to 39.3K by mid-June, before climbing back to 48.2K at the end of the quarter. Active users hovered around 5M, with a notable dip to 4.4M in mid-June, recovering to over 5.1M by the end of June.

Google Maps Go experienced a steady download rate, beginning at 96.7K and closing the quarter at 102.3K. Active users showed a slight fluctuation, starting at 30M, decreasing to 28.3M mid-quarter, and ending at 28.8M. Revenue remained minimal, peaking briefly at $30.

Google Earth saw weekly downloads ranging from a low of 22.4K to a high of 41.1K, with a general upward trend towards the end of the quarter. Active users increased from 316K to 344K over the same period.

Radarbot Speed Camera Detector had variable weekly downloads, starting at 24.1K, dipping to 9K, and closing at 18.2K. Revenue showed a peak of approximately $23.5K in late April, with fluctuations throughout the quarter. Active users began at 146K and saw a decline, ending at 79.6K.

Offline Maps, GPS, Speedometer had more stable figures, with downloads starting at 7.6K, peaking at 10.1K, and ending at 5.6K. Active users remained relatively steady, ending the quarter at around 19K.
